Unfolded
Unfolded navigates the space between form, surface, and trace, collapsing the boundaries of object and image. The folded paper functions as a structural framework, generating latent geometry, tension, and spatial negotiation, while the unfolded surface registers residual imprints and shadowed marks. The work probes transformation, contingency, and material agency, revealing how constraints encode action and imperfection becomes generative. Paper, light, and mark co-constitute a relational field where process, form, and residue intersect. Drawing on origami as conceptual strategy, Unfolded interrogates containment and release, presence and absence, and the porous thresholds between mark, image, and temporal trace.
